About the conference
More than a billion Muslims fast during Ramadan each year, and a large share of them live with diabetes. Caring for them well takes both — the science of modern diabetes management, and a deep respect for the practice of the fast.
The Diabetes & Ramadan (DAR) Asia Malaysia Scientific Conference 2026 brings clinicians, researchers, allied health professionals and educators together in Putrajaya for two days of focused discussion on safe fasting, risk stratification, therapy adjustment and patient education across the Ramadan cycle.
Convened by the Malaysian Endocrine & Metabolic Society (MEMS) together with the Diabetes & Ramadan International Alliance, the meeting is open to physicians, family medicine specialists, pharmacists, dietitians, diabetes educators, nurses and trainees — in person in Putrajaya or online from anywhere.
